Recycling is coming back in New Orleans

In case you have not heard, the City of New Orleans is now offering a recycling drop off location on Saturdays from 8am -1pm at 2829 Elysian Fields.  Also important to note, our friends at the Green Project have ended their recycling drop off program as a result of this new program.  If you go you will need a Louisiana License with a Orleans Parish address.   Materials that will be accepted at the Elysian Fields Drop Off site include:
  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Newspaper and magazines
  • Junk mail
  • Aluminum cans
  • Plastic soda and water bottles
  • Liquid detergent and bleach bottles
  • Milk, water and juice bottles
  • Tin, steel and metal cans
  • Tires (four maximum)

Glass is still not being accepted anywhere in New Orleans for recycling

We hope you find this information useful and look forward to seeing you in the Tool Lending Library soon!
